Why So Many Network Marketers Fail
The author of the following is unknown to me, it's been passed around in various
circles and in various forms for many years. I was just cleaning out one of my filing
cabinets and came across it, so I figured I'd scan it and put it up here -- I think you'll
find it helpful. In no special order...
- No written goals, direction or commitment. Jumps from program to program.
- Doesn't believe in and/or use the products or services they are selling.
- Wants to sponsor top producers instead of learning how to be one themselves.
- Gives up too soon. Usually quits in the first 3 months, instead of a year.
- Unorganized. Wastes too much time looking for things. Cluttered desk, etc.
- Spends too much time getting organized and too little time working.
- Only interested in personal profits. Doesn't care about customers or distributors.
- No answering machine. Can't easily be reached. Doesn't return calls promptly.
- Uninformed on how to succeed in network marketing, not serious about learning.
- Believes in rumors, doesn't check the facts, gullible, and can't think for themselves.
- Doesn't follow-up on prospects and customers. Doesn't show they care.
- Takes "No" personally. Gets discouraged by small problems and inconveniences.
- Lazy. Wants to reap the rewards of his/her downline's efforts without working.
- Doesn't read or keep up with the latest happenings in their program and industry.
- Doesn't handle customer or distributor complaints, but rather complains themselves.
- Doesn't recognize or praise downline achievers. Too self-oriented.
- Makes excuses. Doesn't realize that if others can succeed, they can too.
- Unrealistic expectations for the effort put forth. Doesn't work their business daily.
- Hangs around and is influenced by negative people, instead of the top producers.
- Too impatient. Wants to make big money too soon without being willing to work.
- Can't cope with changes from the company. Not flexible in thinking.
- Expects perfection from a new company without realizing that it takes time.
- Physically unfit. Lacks energy. Has an unprofessional appearance. No self-esteem.
- Doesn't strive to do their best. Doesn't plan to succeed. Often expects to fail.
- Most importantly, doesn't understand that: "If it's to be, it's up to me."
