Setting Goals And The First Big Step
One of the first things you should do is set a few goals for yourself. It really will
help you -- especially in the beginning. You need a way to measure your progress at the
start.
Network Marketing 101
Did you ever attend an Amway meeting? I'll admit, I went to an Amway meeting once and it
lasted a few hours. Maybe you have too? C'mon you can admit it, you still have a garage
full of NUTRILITEŽ Food Supplements don't you?!?! But seriously, if there's one thing we
can learn from Amway it's this ... what they tell their reps to do first.
That's right folks, introduce your friends and family to our services! Most Network
Marketing companies will suggest you "sell" to your friends and family first.
Why? Because it's definitely easier approaching and discussing the business and/or
services with people you know.
It's as simple as that. You don't "sell" to your friends and family, just so you
can make some money off of them. That's not it at all. The whole point of Network
Marketing is that you share with others something that you feel will benefit them in one
way or another.
It's not about pushing pills that they don't need down their throats, and it's definitely
not about collecting sign-up fees. You share the opportunity with your friends and family
because most likely they will benefit from it. Period. End of Story.
Well ok ... and it will increase your income too! =)
Actually, you should delete the word "sell" from your vocabulary. You're not
selling anything. You're sharing a way that anyone can earn and save money on something
they can use every day and you're putting money back in their pockets!
Make a list of people and businesses to contact. Here are a few ideas to get you going:
1. List all family members.
2. List all family members' businesses.
3. List all of your friends.
4. List all of your friend's businesses.
5. List all of the family and friend's spouses' businesses.
6. List all of the businesses you frequent - your travel agent, your attorney, your boss,
etc.
7. Review your phone bill to see who you call that you can add to your list.
8. Check your Christmas list to make sure you didn't forget anyone!
I could go on and on, but I'm sure you can take it from here. If you'd feel better, just
pretend you're not even an agent. You simply want to share a money-making and money-saving
tips with those in your life. Whatever you do, just remember the meaning of the word
"network" ...
"To interact or engage in informal communication with others for mutual assistance or
support."
... mutual assistance or support. That's the bottom line folks. Realize that and you'll do
great!
The Next Big Step
Your 2nd goal should be to sponsor 5 serious people to work the business. Again, this is
easy. Most people are able to do this very quickly and easily by following the methods
described in this Training Center. These 5 serious people can come from your contact list
of family, friends and business contacts or from the the 50 million people worldwide who
are already on the internet. We will show you how to attract them.
Once you've done this, you can relax a little and spend more time helping your downline.
Remember, the easiest way to build a fabulous income in this business is to help people.
You can only do so much yourself. Simply help the 5 people on your front-line to repeat
the process.
Let's look at a quick example. I signed up 5 serious people within my first week. But I
had been marketing online previous to doing this, so let's take the worst case scenario
and say it takes you two months. Again, most people do it in a few weeks but this is just
an example.
After 2 months, you'd have 5 people on your front-line. Now that doesn't
sound like much does it? Stay with me, the power of Network Marketing is
about to kick in. And when it does, you'll be amazed.
When your 5 front-line people bring others into the program, your income grows
exponentially. Now assume that it takes your 5 people 2 months to do the same thing you
did. That means after 4 months, you'd have 30 people in your organization --5 on your
front-line and 25 on your 2nd level.
If everyone repeats this process once again, after 6 months you'd have 156
people in your organization, including yourself. 5 on your 1st level, 25 on your 2nd level
and 125 on your 3rd level. Any idea how much you'd be making at this point? Depending on
the Network Marketing Program you joined and on the commission paid on each level your
income would vary accordingly. In some of the Network Marketing programs we represent,
with 156 people in your organization you would be making US$10,000, some US$20,000 and
some even US$25,0000 per month.
But why stop there? Repeat this process just one more time and you'll be
making a small fortune. After just 8 months, you'd have 781 people in your
organization and you'd be making thousands and thousands of dollars a month ... month
after month!
If you're serious, that should be your first long-term goal. 781 people and
$XX,000 a month, depending on the program you represent (just fill in the XXs). That's not
too bad isn't it. And remember, this is assuming that it takes everyone in your
organization 2 months to find 5 people each. That's being extremely generous.
What if it only took you a month to find 5 people? What if it only took you 2
weeks? Remember, I sponsored my first 5 people in just a few days, it's not hard. It won't
happen overnight, but $10,000 a month is easily achievable if you work at it.
Think about that. $10,000 a month within the next 12 months. Does your
JOB offer you that kind of opportunity? Do you dare imagine the amount
of money you could be earning in 24 months? What about 5 years down the
line? No one says you have stop at $10,000 a month!
Please don't let these numbers scare you. That's the way Network Marketing works. I
personally know at least a dozen people making a 6-figure income from Network Marketing.
And at the risk of sounding sensational, there's no reason you can't do it too. I'm going
to.
But it all starts with that first step. Go out and put at least 5 serious people on your
front-line as soon as possible. Like I said, I did it in less than a week. And everything
I've done to get where I am today you'll learn here in this Training Center.
