"Safe" Newsgroup List

Below you will find a list of newsgroups that I have compiled for my marketing efforts. This list is by no means comprehensive, but I have been using these groups for some time now, and very rarely do I receive negative e-mails regarding my postings to these groups. I generally post to 20 groups per day, in blocks of ten. When I am finished with the list, I go back and start the process all over again. This procedure seems to keep a flow of inquiries coming into my e-mail box on a daily basis. Please, if you do receive notice that any of the below newsgroups are considered inappropriate for posting, let me know. Send me an e-mail so I can make proper adjustments to this page.

Some Guidelines You May Consider Are As Follows:

1. After you have finished the cycle of these 122 newsgroups, over a period of 12 days, and are starting over again, change the wording of your subject headers and body text.

2. Each time you post a block of ten newsgroups, change the name of your organization in the "Options" or "Preferences" menus of your newsgroup reader.

3. If you ever receive a negative e-mail regarding your postings, always send a brief apology to the author of that e-mail and your postmaster (if the negative e-mail was cc'd to your ISP's postmaster). Then, delete the group from your list. Remember, you won't get into any trouble if this happens once or twice. As long as you never post again to this newsgroup, you are ok.

4. Remember, the rules regarding newsgroup postings vary. They are also vague and often times, difficult to understand. Just "go with the flow", as they say. You will get the hang of it after awhile.

5. Also remember, newsgroups on this list, may, at any time, become inappropriate and thus, off-limits for our purposes. Additionally, you may find other groups that are appropriate. Add them to your list, and let me know about them. That way, I can add them to this list.
